Rebekah graduated from Emory University in 2006 with a BA in Creative Writing/English.
Currently doing: An event planner at the Office of International Affairs at Emory University. Planning parties, dinners and receptions for important people from around the world. Studying German for my trip in June.
Current projects include: Germany Study Trip (June 2-15), Cartooning for Peace 2007 Atlanta, His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s visit (HHDL as he is affectionately known around here)
Current plans for 2007- Working, thinking about applying to school
Long term “plans”:
-Publishing a best-selling novel that gets reviewed on the front cover of the NY Times Sunday Book Review
-Getting a Phd in English with a focus on cultural studies and children’s literature
-Marrying John Mayer
-Ex-patriating to Europe or Asia, somewhere on the beach, and writing critical essays about American culture
-Learning to sail and living on a boat for a year
Currently reading: German guide books, books by the Dalai Lama, The Moor’s Last Sigh by my pal Salman
